Omaha Beach- I was shocked, and a little disappointed, at how beautiful Omaha Beach was. I wanted it to be horrible.
I wanted the horror of June 6, 1944 to linger as testimony to the sacifice of the American, British and Canadian soldiers who
accomplished the impossible. I thought it was disrespectful that a large portion of the beach is now home to several cows.
After this guy strolled over, I realized I was wrong. In fact, it's pretty cool. This land has experienced enough. Having a few
cows grazing, completely oblivious to what had happen here is a fitting testimony to how beautiful life can be.
